The Flower Farm

We currently grow cut flowers on just over 2,000 square feet of land! It is amazing how many flowers can grow in a small area. We are not your “typical Iowa farm” but we grow our flowers the same as any other farm crop - in an open area without the use of a greenhouse or season extension structures.

Most of our flowers are started inside (in our home office), weeks before our last frost date. They sit under grow lights until all threat of frost has passed and then we plant them outside. We use landscape fabric to help suppress the weeds and run irrigation lines underneath to hydrate the flowers all season long.

Although our growing season is pretty short here in Iowa (zone 5a), a lot of work goes on behind the scenes and in our “off” season. It is all worth it when everything starts to bloom and we are surrounded in the beauty of the flowers.

Our flower farm is currently open for pre-arranged bouquet pick-up ONLY. We do not offer U-pick at this time. Book a private workshop to experience it yourself!
